Acting careers – Sylvester Stallone warns against fame addiction

In a recent news story, the accomplished actor, director and producer “warned aspiring actors against getting entangled in the idea of popularity as it could be destructive.
“The 60- year old, academy nominated actor has blamed Hollywood and attendant fame for the discomposure and bedlam in his personal life.
“Success and fame are as addictive as heroin unless you have a very stable home life. I didn’t have that, and when you come from nothing and you are given everything – money, women, limos – it’s crazy,” ContactMusic quoted him as saying.
“The Rocky star also compared fame to a candy shop, and said that eating too much candy could ultimately take away everything one gets through limelight.
“Fame is intoxicating. Think about the world as a candy shop and you don`t have to pay. You know what happens when you eat too much candy; it affects your work and whatever made you special is gone,” he added.” [newkerala.com Jan 13 2007]
